Back to Where We Were

Time flies...

Back to the same old spot (at the airport)... We took Evans to the Airport for the 1st time. He was only 3 months old then, sleeping most of the time. :) And now, he is already 21 months old.

I can't help but to see the difference besides Evans growing up, we sure have put on a fair bit of weight! :S "Dear hubby, we really need to buck up! LOL!"

Good Friday Evening at the Airport

Yes, airport AGAIN! Where else's a better place to spend the warm evening with free air-con and big space.

We went to Pizza Hut this time, looked like a long Q but we got our seats faster than we expected (less than 30 min). I like Pizza Hut's spaghetti, especially the Prawn Aglio Olio. :)

For sharing, we ordered the Honey Roasted Mid-Wings. I wanted to order 6 pieces but hubby said probably 10 pieces since the price difference was not much and we could have the leftovers take-away. I thought 10 sounded too much for 2 and when I ordered, the waitress dilated her eye-balls and repeated "10!?" LOL, I was like "ermm, yah 10." A little embarrassed...

Guess what, there was no take-aways. We finished everything, clean. BIG eaters, we both are. LOL!

We liked the wings, well coated with honey marination but it was a tad oily. We swept all the wings (yah to think we could 'da-bao'). I liked our pastas too but hubby said his was a little troublesome to savour because he was busy removing the garlic slices. Too garlicky for him but I tasted the soup, I liked it. My aglio olio was not bad in terms of the noodles but the prawns were bland, because I told the waitress to make mine non-spicy so I think they used the non-marinated prawns instead. Yah, too bland to my liking so probably if next time, when my cough is gone, I would order aglio olio as it should be.
hubby feeding you you

Hubby has been doing the feeding because I was still coughing. He has been doing a good job and somehow I think Evans eats faster when hubby feeds. I think this little boy is "bullying" mama. :S

After the meal, we went to walk around and revisited Evans' favourite 'toy' at the Aviation Gallery at Terminal 2. Evans just loves taking the "train train", that includes the sky train. :)

This little boy self-entertained at his favourite play area at the Aviation Gallery but I think the Gallery sort of defeated its purpose. By right, it serves as an education centre about aviation and airport but the kids (oh my goodness, the kids!) treated the place like some playground, or even obstacle course. Couldn't bear to watch them... how they destroyed the setting and the noise... sigh... some families even picnic-ed there. If I was the one setting up this gallery, I would be so upset.

round and round

Spent some time to convince Evans it was time to head home... and "Off he goes!" like an adult, as if he knew where he wanted to go... :)

off he goes!

Evans, where r you going?

till then!

It's Getting VERY HOT!!!

The weather was really bad these few days, extremely hot. The drizzle did not make the weather better but more humid!

So we brought Evans to the pool today. We have not brought him there for a very very long time. SO here, to relive the pool fun!

Samsonite for Mama

As we are going to Phuket really soon, mama needs a luggage. Though she seldom travels, she would need one this trip because the rest of us needed to bring ours too.

So I have been looking around but mainly on Samsonite. This brand just comes to me as a good brand for luggage. I have earlier gone to the branch at Tampines One. The sales guy was quite good and he told me different outlets carry different models. I saw one model called AT Westlake, nice colour, soft casing. But it was the last piece at that outlet so I thought I still have time to look around so would rather not committed to that first.

So after the CPS yesterday, I went to Changi City Point's Samsonite. Saw the same model and this time, quite determined to buy because I was quite lazy to shop again especially during workday. But that sales guy did not give me good impression when I asked him about the price. He wasn't quite sure and told me it should be $105 for that 24" luggage. I could not remember the price too so I said I thought it was $90 plus. He was like "ermm, the price should be the same. Should be $105." I asked him to check for me. Then he went to check. I was thinking did he think customer would trust the way he told me about the price? He finally told me $105. I wasn't 100% trusting so I called Tampines One's branch. Ok, it was $105.

Ok, so set I decided to get this one despite the average service because I was just too lazy and shopping for luggage wasn't like any other shopping... it was bulky.

Here, a nice pinkish purple luggage for my mama.... maybe I can borrow it from her some other day. Hehe!

First Corporate Plan Seminar of the Year

Yesterday was our Corp Plan Seminar, a twice yearly event where Division I officers got together to know more about the plans for the organisation ahead. I am just glad that the event yesterday went rather smoothly but the preparation and setting up were kind of hectic. All in all, it was a well-executed programme with excellent team. I am also glad that I did not screw up the audiovisual part.

We had about 600 plus attendees in the cosy auditorium, Axis which coincidentally was under the church which hubby used to go. He also happened to know Kin Wee and Steven who helped us in the setup.

In the middle of the session, my cough got worse and for a while the phlegm built up so much that I just could not stop coughing. Worse was I could not leave my post because I needed to control the screening so I had to press my mouth hard with layers of tissue paper, hoping to buffer my coughing. Luckily it got controlled… with lots of swallowing of saliva.

Anyway, some snapshots on how yesterday went… a little blurry cos’ I took it while I was on duty in the middle of the auditorium… lighting wasn’t bright enough for my hp.

Maybe because I was part of the organising team, I thought this CPS was of good length but Bo commented that it was a bit too long. I guess the content was really nothing new, that was why many actually dozed off (probably the seats were too comfy too!).

Anyhow I hope there were some who were impressed by the visuals and videos (on “The Future of Water” and “Lead India, The Tree”). Personally I like “The Tree” very much. Inspiring. Oh yes for the filler before the start of CPS, we played the Wally Shower Dance video, showing a primary school boy dancing to depict keeping your shower to 5 min. He was quite adorable and spontaneous. Wonder where my Corp Comms colleagues found this talent. :)

De-cluttering my Walk-in (Partially)

After the cockroach episode, I decided to de-clutter the stuff lying around in my walk-in wardrobe. The piles of paper bags and work bags and casual bags and whatsoever need to see some light.

bags and bags and...

clothes and clothes...

While sorting out the stuff, I was very paranoid, staying very alert to see if there was any unwelcome subject, moving around. Did that cockroach bring in other friends????

Luckily, no.

But I did see some bits of something, which seemingly were shit of something… I don’t know is it roach or lizard or some species. Anyway, got my heroic hubby to help me “clear the shit”.

Justine Visits Again

Hi!

"reunion"

It was nice to see Justine again. Twice this week? She was here earlier to help my mama to look after Evans for a while. So nice of her. Evans started to get familiar with her. Here, the 3 of us whom my mama has looked and is looking after.
